Governing Body Commission (GBC) is the ultimate managing authority of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). It is composed of several dozens of members who are individually responsible for overseeing the management and spiritual standards of ISKCON centers in assigned geographic regions. GBC members also supervise specific projects, initiatives, and ministries.

Child Protection Oversight Committee (CPOC) is a GBC-nominated body responsible for upholding policies, structures, and processes for effective child protection across ISKCON. Operating independently, the CPOC does not engage in direct involvement with specific cases, adjudications, or appeals. Instead, its role is to provide governance, oversight, and strategic guidance for ISKCON’s global child protection efforts.

CPOC may include up to five members. Currently, it is composed of three members — two with legal expertise and one with a background in management and communications.

CPO Directors by Constituent Units refers to National Directors, Area Directors, Country Directors, and similar roles, according to the local terminology used.
